News and Updates

2020/05/29 – Translation Released!

We are grateful to YHWH, that today we could (for the first time in 5 centuries) release an English translation of the Hebrew Gospel of Mark and to thus make it available for the benefit of all. This is the culmination of many months of work and revision. We are further excited about the Hebrew transcript of Mark which is almost ready for release!

Up to date, we have also uploaded five videos in a series which evaluates the popular pronunciations of the tetragrammaton, יהוה.

Blessings in Yeshua Mashiach,
the Van Rensburgs.

5. Why is the Cholem often Missing on the Name YHWH?

Nehemia Gordon claims that the scribes removed the Cholem vowel from the name YHWH in order to hide the 'true' pronunciation 'Yehovah'.

In the previous 2 presentations, it was shown that all evidence thus far points to the fact that the vowels of Adonai were placed on the name.

Yet, the question still remains - why would the scribes leave out the Cholem?

This is the topic of Video 5, presented by Justin Van Rensburg.

4. Would Scribes Change a Composite Shewa into a Simple Shewa for Ketiv-Qere Perpetuum?

Nehemia Gordon says: "Don't believe the nonsensical claim that the vowels of Yehovah יְהוָֹה are the same as the vowels of Adonai אֲדֹנָי!"

He says this because the first vowel (a composite shewa) of Adonai is not identical to the first vowel (a simple shewa) on the Name.

He asserts: "So, the argument that they had to put in different vowels, as if this is a “kri-ketiv” or a “Kri-perpetuum,” that's utter nonsense. That's complete nonsense..."

Nehemia's stance is evaluated by Justin Van Rensburg in Video 4.

3. Was Ketiv-Qere applied to YHWH?

Nehemia Gordon claims that the vowels on the name YHWH are NOT the vowels of Adonai but the true, intended vowels of the Name. This claim is evaluated by Justin Van Rensburg.
